This is the new song from The Veronicas. It’s called On Your Side.
The music clip was written and directed by Ruby Rose. It stars both Ruby Rose and Jess (one half of The Veronicas) who reconnected over the filming of this video and fell in love <3
I heard Ruby Rose interviewed this morning. She made some interesting comments about the reception of the video. Yes, it’s hot and steamy, and people have focused on the sexiness of it all, but she says that would not be discussed so much if the video was about a man and a woman.
The story told by the song and video, is of a couple who face violence, and within their relationship, deal with drug addition. So a heavy topic. It’s also been seen by many as being a positive step in the right direction – bringing same sex relationships into the mainstream.
