Can you believe GRL is only about 2 months away? I’m getting super excited now! I’ve got my plane ticket and the US visa thingy. Yes, they’re letting me into the country! 😉
Today post features Olivia Black. I hope you enjoy!
Meet Olivia Black
Welcome! Thanks for agreeing to answer a couple of questions. Hopefully you won’t find then too difficult. 🙂
Is this your first GRL? If not, do you have any advice for authors and/or readers who are attending? If it’s your first, what made you sign up this year?
My first GRL convention was last year in Chicago. It was an amazing experience. I went alone so I made a real effort to meet people. I just stuck out my hand and introduced myself. It was easy. And although I was nervous and afraid of rejection, I continued to put myself out there and made some great friends in the process. If you are alone, make sure you introduce yourself and find some friends. Everyone is really warm and welcoming. Trust me, you won’t regret it.
What are you most looking forward to about GRL this year?
Meeting the readers. It’s always so surprising when people recognize my name or have read one of my books. I’m also looking forward to meeting other authors. I had a few fan-girl moments last year and I’ sure I’ll have a few this year as well.
What inspired you to start writing in the gay romance genre?
I’m a huge reader and I love to write. I’ve been writing for a while, but started writing gay romance after a summer vacation. I went to New Orleans. The idea for my first series, Silver Bullet, came to me then. I got home, opened my laptop and started writing.
What was the first m/m romance book you wrote? Can you share a little about the story?
My first m/m romance book was The Alpha’s Mate, book 1 in my Silver Bullet series. This series takes place in New Orleans at a shifter owned gay club. So far, there are 15 books in this series.
What book are you currently reading or have just finished reading? Tell us a little about it.
I LOVE reading. If I’m not writing, I’m reading. Most recently I was reading Carol Lynn’s (Lobster Cove), SE Jakes (Men of Honor), Eli Easton, and the list goes on and on. I enjoy reading m/m.
I love reading m/m too. In fact it’s just about all I read. I look forward to meeting you in October.
I fell in love with romance novels years ago and read everything I could get my hands on, from alternative to ménage and everything in between. Thousands of books later, I’m still an avid reader on the lookout for a good book.
I love waking up in the morning, getting my iced coffee and sitting down in front of my laptop. Going on adventures with my characters makes writing the best job on the planet. My hope is that readers will find something positive in every book I write and that they will enjoy the journey along the way. Happy reading!

You have to be the best to go to war with the worst. That’s the motto the agents of the Federal Paranormal Agency live by. They train hard to hunt down those that go rogue, enforcing the laws set down through the ages. They deliver justice to those that break the laws and save the innocent. They are the enforcers of the paranormal world.
Braig Rabgix is an ancient vampire and an agent for the Federal Paranormal Agency. While following a rogue wolf shifter that deals in human sex trafficking, Braig finds his True Match among the victims. He takes the scared human home and tends to his wounds, gently wooing the man meant to be his.
Beaten and held in a cage, Daniel Bombelles has lost touch with who he really is. The world flashes by him in shades of pain. When he’s saved by a stranger with hypnotic brown eyes, something inside Daniel says that he can trust the handsome vampire.
The danger isn’t over. The rogue wolf that tortured Daniel is on the loose in New York City and its Braig’s job to track him down. But there’s a difference between justice and revenge, and Braig is willing to cross the line.
