Rainbow Snippets: 2nd December #RainbowSnippets #GayRomance #MMRomance

This weekend’s snippet is from my latest work in progress (so is an unedited first draft), Fleeting Moments. This is a free holiday ficlet and will be available on my website mid-December.

Jerry continued running his fingers through the auburn strands, wishing he could take away Matthew’s pain. It had been a hard year as Matthew tried to come to terms with his mother’s dementia and her rapid decline, and he hated watching the emotional toll it was taking. Matthew was an only child for God’s sake, and the pressure of making decisions for his mother’s care had fallen squarely on his shoulders. Plus, when she wasn’t around anymore, Matthew wouldn’t have anyone left. No family.

No, that isn’t true. He has me.

Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQ+ authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).

In this group you’ll find anything from romance and historical fiction to mystery and YA. The common thread is that every story’s main character identifies as LGBTQ+. The snippets could range from zero flames to full-on sexytimes, anything goes content-wise. The only rule is snippets will be 6 sentences long–one for each color in the Pride flag.

Click here to visit the Rainbow Snippets group on FB where you can see the posts from other authors.

Have a great weekend and happy reading!
