Today my guest is Bronwyn Heeley. Bronwyn lives in the beautiful Blue Mountains, not too far out of Sydney.
Thanks for the m/m romance holiday story recommendations, Bronwyn. I’ll be checking them out.
Don’t forget to check out the giveaways, including one lucky winner who will get an ebook copy of each book Brownyn released this year!
Do you and your family/friends have any special holiday traditions?
We have a family Christmas with my mother’s side a week or so before and we use to go see Christmas lights at Pops on Christmas Eve and though I believe we’ll be seeing my Nan that day it’s not quite the same since my Pop died.
Christmas can be hard when we lose family members. I hope you and your Nan still have a lovely day. Christmas carols. Yes or no?
Ever since I got out of working retail I’ve had a much more relaxed liking for carols, I don’t hate them with a passion anymore. I believe it helps that I don’t have to hear them on loop for 10 hours 5 days a week
Do you watch Christmas movies? If so, what’s your favourite all time holiday movie?
Yes, I make sure to watch Muppets Christmas Carol, it’s my all-time favorite Christmas movie, though as a family we tend to watch Rise of the Guardians too, and probably Author Christmas this year (they are the only other real Christmas movies we have in the house)
I love reading stories set in the holiday season and I especially like seeing stories set all over the world. I love seeing how others celebrate and I love reading about guys getting their special holiday happy ever afters. Do you read holiday romances? If so, do you have a favourite you’d like to recommend to your readers?
Yes I love a good holiday romance, especially the short story ones. I’m not sure why, maybe because I can get through a few of them in one day. I have two fav’s, Where You Lead by Mary Calmes & Unto Us the Time Has Come by Sean Michael.
I haven’t read either of those so I’ll need to check them out. The end of the year is often a time for making New Year’s Resolutions. Do you have any you’d be willing to share? After all, they do say you’re more likely to achieve a goal if you share it 🙂
Generally I always try for the same resolution I give the year before, and that’s to be better than the year before this, whether it’s write more, save more money … there mostly the two I wish to be better at year in and out, but more than not I throw in a few others and then forget them when I sober up.
What does 2017 hold for you on the writing front? What can your readers expect to see from you?
This is the last year I am a short story writer, which means I will be releasing the last set of books from the Flipped series I’m writing alongside April Kelley. As well as finishing off them I’ll be starting to write novels, the first one a paranormal m-preg that will come out in 2018.
Check out one of Bronwyn’s books…
