Today I welcome Megan Lindenย to the blog . Meganย has a wonderful Christmas story called Cherish & Give. Plus she’s answered some interview questions about her holidays.

Cherish & Give (D.C. Files #1.5) follows Sam and Blake weeks after we said goodbye to them on the election night in Serve & Protect. What happens after their HEA?
Presidential elections may be over, but Sam and Blake are still a work in progress.
The last fourteen months of Samโs life have been a crazy ride that was supposed to be over by now. It isnโt. While the presidential elections came and went, things donโt seem to be slowing down, despite his efforts.
And Blake is a patient man, but even he has his limits.
Although old habits die hard, they can be conquered, and when the new realizations occur, itโs a chance for Sam and Blake to decide how to move forward and navigate the relationship down the road. Itโs no Christmas miracle, but itโs theirs and theyโre not willing to back down.
Interview – Holiday Spirit
I love Christmas and always look forward to it. Whatโs your favourite holiday of the year and what makes it so special?
I think New Yearโs Eve is my favorite. It signifies a new beginning, another chance to change something in your life, do something new and brave, and better. This time of year is maybe the most hopeful one and I love that!
Do you and your family/friends have any special holiday traditions?
I live in Poland and according to our traditions, the Christmas Eve is the most important day of Christmas. When the first star of the night appears on the sky, we sit down for a big supper with twelve dishes and later exchange presents (yes, no waiting until Christmas morning for us!).
And for those of you reading who just balked at twelve dishes: itโs not really that bad, we count everything as a dish on that night, so for example, a piece of bread counts as one dish, just like a bowl of soup.
That sounds wonderful and a great way to see in the new year.
If you could be granted one special gift for the world for Christmas, what would it be?
Peace. I know it sounds clichรฉ, but this is what I would give, if I could. Peace as the end of violence and peace as the peace of mind. Everyone deserves both.
Christmas carols. Yes or no?
Yes, sure, unless itโs November 3rd and Iโm out there shopping when a Christmas carol starts playing from the speakers and I suddenly feel like Iโve been transferred forward in time.
Shopping centres seem to be getting ready for Christmas earlier and earlier every year! Do you watch Christmas movies? If so, whatโs your favourite all time holiday movie?
The first or the second Die Hard movie. ๐ But other than that, Love Actually. I used to watch it every year.
I adore Love Actually – great choice! ๐ What inspired your current holiday story?
I wanted a little holiday joy for Sam and Blake! Serve & Protect, the first book in the D.C. Files series, ends chronologically at the beginning of November, so I thought the Christmas story could be like an additional epilogue for the two of them.
Tell us a little about the main characters in your holiday story.
Sam had just spent well over a year running a presidential campaign for a female candidate and he was hoping his life would slow down after the elections, at least for a little bit, so he could enjoy his Happily Ever After. But life doesnโt seem to move any slower a few weeks later and although Blake, his partner and love of his life, is a patient man, Sam knows things have to change somehow. Especially since itโs not just the two of them… Okay, Iโm not telling you anything else!
(Other than a small tease that since Blake is a Navy man, there may or may not be a Christmas party where he has to wear his dress whites. Maybe.)
Sounds fabulous!
Thatโs it from me. Thank you, Nic, for hosting me. Answering these questions brought up a bit more of the Christmas spirit in me! Happy Holidays to you and the readers!
Thanks for joining us, and Merry Christmas <3

About the Author
Megan is one of those people who dreamed of being a writer since they were a little kid and then didnโt do anything about it for years. Then as a teenager she was introduced to fandom andโฆ well. She fell head first into it and never looked back. At some point she decided to try writing her own characters in her own stories. And thatโs where she is today.
When sheโs not writing, Megan works as a psychologist and continues to learn the hard way that she canโt give her clients their happy ending (she truly believes everyone can save themselves, though). Thatโs why she makes sure to give it to her characters, always.
She loves TV shows, books, fanworks, and pizza (not necessarily in that order).
