Today my guest is Toni Griffin. Toni comes from right up the top of Australia in Darwin, so I think she experiences one of the hottest Christmas’ of anyone I know!
Toni is giving away a $20 Amazon gift card so don’t forget to leave a comment on the post for your chance to win.
I love Christmas and always look forward to it. What’s your favourite holiday of the year and what makes it so special?
Christmas would have to be my favourite holiday of the year. Spending time with my family, exchanging gifts and eating more than you possibly could imagine. LOL. Unfortunately things change as you get older, my parents retired to QLD, my brother and SIL moved to Perth and since my Ex moved to Canberra he gets our daughter on School holidays, which means Christmas. So our large family get-togethers have dwindled down to just me and my older brother’s family. At least because there’s only five of us, and one of those isn’t even 1 yet we don’t have to spend all day cooking. 😉
I like that you can see the bright side <3 Do you and your family/friends have any special holiday traditions?
Living our whole lives in the Territory it’s too bloody hot up here to have a full roast meal. Marinated Chicken wings and champagne has been our Christmas breakfast for as long as I can remember. We follow that up with a glazed ham (Prepared the day before) and a Ingham’s turkey roll with salad for a late lunch and then just pick at nibbles for the rest of the day. Very little cooking is actually required on Christmas day. The Boxing day test is a must in our households as well.
Your Christmas sounds a lot like ours! What’s the worst present (Christmas or otherwise) you’ve ever received?
When I was nineteen I got a sheet set for valentine’s day from my then fiancé. Needless to say, it was exchanged and I received a late bunch of flowers. If that was now, I’d really appreciate it, knowing how much a decent set quilt set is. But back then, I thought the world was ending.
What’s your biggest gift giving disaster?
My brother was seeing a woman once (better left in the past) and she had a young boy from a previous relationship. We were all heading to my parent’s place for Christmas. It wasn’t until we were half way there that I realised we hadn’t bought anything for her son. After a quick drive around, which confirmed nothing was open, we ended up re giving a set of Dr Seuss books my husband and I had bought for our daughter.
What inspired your current holiday story?
I don’t have a current Holiday story, however, I have released three in the past, Wreath of Fire, A Very Holland Christmas and My Christmas Present. My Christmas Present, is currently being transferred to Audio. I’ve always loved the trope of a young man falling for his dad’s best friend. I decided I really wanted to write this and set it around a couple of Aussie cowboys (Jackaroos).
Tell us a little about the favourite book you released this year?
My favourite release this year is Kieran. That story took me forever and a bloody day to finish. It felt like the story from hell for so long. My characters, Kieran and Damon are both Alpha type shifters who butt heads at every turn. They both think they’re in the right and they both have everyone else’s best interests at heart.
What does 2017 hold for you on the writing front? What can your readers expect to see from you?
I plan on re releasing an expanded version of Archie’s Accidental Kidnapping, followed by Book 2 in the Hounds of Hell series. After that it’s right back to The Atherton Pack with book 5, either Bradley or Samuel’s story (I haven’t decided who yet). I’m also hoping to release a story I’ve been sitting on for nearly a year now, As Fire Rains Down. I’m sure I’ll throw some other things in the mix as well, but there’s a little sneak peek.
Check out one of Toni’s books…
Blurb: My Christmas Present
Finally home after graduating from uni, Lucas arrives in time for Christmas. The one present he wants more than anything is the one that’s been forever out of his reach, his dad’s best friend, Mitchell.
Mitchell has watched Lucas grow over the years into a smart, sexy young man. Falling in love with his best friend’s son was never in his plans. The early Christmas present Mitchell receives will change his life forever.

About the author
Toni Griffin lives in Darwin, the smallest of Australia’s capital cities. Born and raised in the state, she’s a Territorian through and through. Growing up Toni hated English with a passion (as her editors can probably attest to) and found her strength lies with numbers.
Now, though, she loves escaping to the worlds she creates and hopes to continue to do so for many years to come. She’s a single mother of one and works full time. When she’s not writing you can just about guarantee that she will be reading one of the many MM authors she loves.
Feel free to drop her a line at info@tonigriffin.net anytime.
