INTERVIEW
It’s great to be joined by Sue Brown as part of her Blog Tour for Stolen Dreams. Welcome, Sue. ๐
Firstly the cover. Itโs gorgeous! Can you share a little about the process for selecting the perfect cover to capture the essence of your stories and characters?
Sue: Thank you for having me. Isnโt the Stolen Dreams cover just wonderful? Brooke Albrecht produced so many wonderful draft but the second I saw the cover I knew it was the one. Those eyes just draw you in.
I am not the best person to talk about covers. I donโt *see* my characters and I donโt generally use models as inspiration. Iโm more interested in their head space. So when an artist can see my characters from the ramblings I give them I am very lucky.
Now to the story. Where did the inspiration for the story come from and was it difficult to write a romance with characters in such a complex situation, dealing with issues from the past and the presence of fiancรฉ for one of the characters?
Sue: A lot of things to answer there. The inspiration came from someone in my fanfic days. I prefer writing about real life complex issues. I want my characters to have back life. I want to know where theyโve lived and loved, and like Morgan, screwed up. Our guys donโt live in a vacuum. They love people and sometimes relationships are messy. In answer to your question, it wasnโt difficult to write. I love writing stories like this.
Can you share any secrets about Shae and Morgan?
Sue: No way! I would never give away their secrets.
Who is your favourite character in the book and why?
Sue: Morgan โ because he has to grow up a hell of a lot in this story. Emotionally heโs taken on a roller-coaster.
Can you share an interesting fact your readers may not know about you?
Sue: Iโm the youngest of six (lost a sister recently). My oldest brother is twenty-four years older than me. When I was a kid my brothers were older than some of my friendsโ parents.
Thanks for sharing, Sue and best of luck with the release.
