I have news!
This week I signed a contract with Dreamspinner Press for my first novel (my other stories are novella length). I am so excited! I can’t believe I’ll be able to see one of my books in print!
The book is called Charlie’s Hero. Here’s a little bit about the story.
When paramedic, Josh Campbell, attends an accident at the school where teacher Charlie Matthews works, it’s love at first sight for Charlie. He’s found the man of his dreams. When Josh returns to the school to demonstrate fire safely techniques, sparks fly and the two start a relationship.
But Josh’s guilt and reluctance to come out to Andrew, the brother who has sacrificed so much to raise him, puts pressure on their fledgling relationship.
It takes the rejection of his own parents, to show Charlie just how much Josh has to lose. But Josh is Charlie’s hero, and he’ll prove to Charlie that he doesn’t need his parents to be part of a family.
The book is due out in June or July 2015.
Through November I’ve also been working on a follow up story to Charlie’s Hero. This is the story of Josh’s brother Andrew. It’s tentatively titled Andrew’s Promise. I’ve been writing this story as part of NaNoRiMo and it has been heaps of fun. It will be finished and off to the beta readers in a week or so.
December is shaping up to be a busy month too. The usual family and Christmas obligations, finishing Andrew’s Promise and the release of More Than A Superstar on December 17th.
I hope you are all enjoying the countdown to the holiday season.
